Leonard Steinauer Opening Reception

September 4, 2010, 2-4pm

An opening reception for "Leonard Steinauer: Folk Art" will be presented in the Exhibitions Gallery with curator talks about Folk art and Steinauer's work. Lou Ann, wife of the deceased artist will be present with her family to make comments about her husband's work.

Annual Art and Poetry at Bone Creek

Bone Creek sponsors an annual art and poetry event. August 2009 saw a great turn out for our kickoff event with featured poets; Poet Laureate Ted Kooser, published author Twyla Hansen, and local poet Leo Kovar. The second annual event, in 2010, welcomed Marge Saiser to join returning poets, Ted Kooser and Twyla Hansen. The theme of this event revolves around the agrarian subject. Guests were moved to tears over the beautiful combination spoken word and fine art, in a great setting. This event gives visitors an opportunity to reflect on the changing landscape and be inspired by such appreciation and reverence for the land and those who cultivate it.
